glazed ceramic, iron,
200 x 50 x 25 cm

2021

The sculpture is composed of ceramic anatomical parts held together by an iron rod from construction work materials. The ceramic, imitating the color of the body also determines its fragility, which contrasts with the iron structure that supports it. The sculpture draws a line of movement, a leap, a flight while forcing the feet to stay together and steady.
The sculpture evokes a body constrained within an architectural space, suggesting the various ways in which the built environment can be both support and constraint for the human body and mind.
